Rod Attends Eggtoberfest

Rod attends the Eggtober Fest in Atlanta, GA Rod and his barbecue team set out on a warm October day to smoke and grill with 200 Big Green Egg enthusiasts. Rod, and the other participants, cooked for over 3,000 attendees. We received a lot of praise and attention for the Rod's Rub brand. At the end of the day, The Big Green Egg Company gave away 4 Green Eggs. Rod was one of the winners! Karma, we tell you! We've recommended and personally installed so many Big Green Eggs for our friends, you would think The Green Egg would give us a prize. Well, they did in a Karma-sort-of-way! We are now the proud owners of a small Green Egg, which looks cute next to our Large Green Egg. Now we have more space for making great Rod's Rub flavored food!

Rod receives his Pork U certificate from the Lost Mountain Barbecue School

Rod Brown attended the Lost Mountain Barbecue School in West Cobb, GA. He successfully completed the course, receiving his Pork U certificate. Pork U is hosted and taught by the championship winning BBQ team of Sam Huff, Diane Woods, Matt and Jenny Bloodworth, Edd & Vickie Norrid and Bryan Huff.

Rod and his friends spent the day learning a variety of barbecuing techniques, including preparation and cooking of chicken, pork, beef and slaw and beans. Rod brought some Rod's Rub Original for the group to taste test and review. The whole class (including the teachers!) was impressed with how Original made their barbecue taste! Rod recommends anyone interested in increasing their BBQ knowledge to sign-up for Pork U. There is nothing better than a day with friends and BBQ and the guys from Lost Mountain Barbecue.
